The maintenance and replacement of automotive coolant are essential to ensure engine reliability. Over time, coolant loses its effectiveness due to chemical breakdown, contamination, or depletion of additives. Vehicle manufacturers typically recommend periodic coolant checks and flushes, often every 2–5 years, depending on the type of coolant used and driving conditions.
